Morning Musume isn't entirely comprised of U-18s: the eldest, Takahashi Ai, is 23 (and a stunning, ravishing beauty at that); "subleader" Niigaki Risa is 21; (cutie-pie) Michishige Sayumi is also 21, and so on.

That said, Eri Kamei auditioning at 15 is far from the youngest recruit out of H!P: C-ute's Hagiwara Mai auditioned (and passed) at 6 back in 2002.

The "junior" groups within H!P would be S/mileage, C-ute, and Berryz Koubou, each of which is, yes, stocked with teenaged members.

Even so, the "senior" group has never shied away from younger members: Kago Ai and Nozomi Tsuji were both 12 when introduced, and the youngest current member, Mitsui Aika, is all but 17.

As for the legality of H!P recruiting and promoting such underage girls: I'm sure someone from the legal dept. cleared it years ago.

The legality/morality of your or me or someone else up/downloading H!P pics? I'm Not A Lawyer, so I can't really comment (maybe lilyqueen has her 2 cents?)

So who's over 18? As I mentioned, the bulk of current MM, plus former MMers (I highly recommend Konno Asami, Ishikawa Rika, Fujimoto Miki, and Natsumi Abe, all of whom have massively gorgeous photosets). Happy hunting!

In my country, it's illegal to view pictures of children if they are inappropriate or pornographic. While it's not illegal to have sexual relations with girls as young as 16, it's still illegal to have pictures of them.

I guess I could look for new Eri Kamei pictures seeing as she'd be 21 now.

Put it this way: if Hannah Montana is shown on TV where you live, there's no reason Hagiwara Mai or Shimizu Saki or Suzuki Airi can't have a little piece of your (private) hard drive. They're all singers and popstars for crying out loud....

lol. Tho tbh, my whole h!p collection to date had only been a couple dozen pictures. I have started a new one tho :) starting with "makings of 20" which is Eri Kamei's latest youtube vid.

good point. When it comes to child protection, the government are over the top about it. Yeah we do have our child stars such as Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montanna) and Connie Talbot but child modelling is a bit of a grey area and often associated with paedophiles and CP.
